The Fox and the Magic Pitcher

There were some monkeys living in a green jungle with other animals. One year there was no rain and the animals were faced with drought. There was a magic pitcher at a monkey’s house and all animals of the jungle were taking water from it.

One morning, the monkey’s infant was weeping in front of his house. Rabbits and some other animals had come to take water but the infant told them about the missing of the magic pitcher.

The animals asked the monkey’s infant about the missing of the pitcher. Infant monkey told them the whole story. He said, “Last day, while I was playing with my sister in a tree beside our house, a yellow fox was purchasing fruits seeds and other old materials and she was giving fruits. We told her that we have mango seeds at home. Yellow fox asked us mango’s seeds. My sister gave the mango seeds and the fox gave us a banana. We wanted more bananas but the fox asked for more goods. My sister brought her an old pitcher and the fox gave us 4 bananas and we became very happy. Meanwhile, our neighboring monkey’s infant wanted a banana from me. I gave  her one.

We thought that if we sell the new pitcher on the yellow fox, she might give us more bananas. We took the new pitcher with us and went to find the yellow fox and we found him in the other side of the jungle and I gave the new pitcher to her. When the yellow fox saw the pitcher, she knew that it was the magic pitcher, she gave us more fresh fruits and took the pitcher from us.

Sometimes later, when my mother came home, we told the whole story to her. My mother became very sad and said that we have sold the magic pitcher. My brother and I were crying but we could not find the magic pitcher again.”

After that due to the drought in the jungle, all animals of this jungle immigrated to another jungle and we faced many problems in the new jungle.
