There are many education courses in the cities of Afghanistan but in rural areas, you would none of them or a few of such courses.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Abdul Mansoor, a resident of Dehsabz district, Kabul province.

Abdul Mansoor talks about his activities: “When I graduated from university, I found no job. I saw that school students of our village need to promote their education level. To solve my economic problems and also help the students, I decided to use my knowledge and my money, I opened an education course in our village with the help of a teacher. At the beginning, we did not have enough students in the school and due to this problem, my colleague left me alone. I convince some students and they accepted to study their school lessons in our course.

The number of students was increasing day by day and I hired another teacher to the course. We teach school lessons; literacy and English language in our course. The fee differs one from the other, for example, we get 100 Afghanis for the literacy course and 150 Afghanis for school’s subjects monthly. Our monthly income reaches about 15000 Afghanis."
