Abdul Rahman Farhadi, who was a shopkeeper, a resident of Herat province was not happy with his work at the beginning but now his life is much better than before.

AEPO’s writer/producer had a trip to Herat province and there he has talked to Farhadi about his business.

Fahadi says: “at the beginning, I was a shopkeeper. When I got aware that ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyred and Disable has announced professional training courses, I tended to participate and I chose the electric field. they trained us the first course for seven months. We got training in house wiring in the second course for ten months, and now I have valid certificates and currently, I do my job in the market.

When I had a shop, my daily incomes did not reach more than 300 afs. but in a short time after my new occupation, my daily income reaches about 700-1000 Afs. Apart from that, I hired some workers with me and they could also learn a profession and solve their economic problems.  A profession saves youths from the complexity of life.”

Quality is better than Quantity

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Aziza Gharebzada who sells dairies and pickles in a special bazaar for women.

Gharebzada says: “it is my fifth year of preparing dairies and pickles. It was hard to work alone, so I started my work with the help of some other women. We produce cheese, butter, yogurt, cream and different varieties of pickles and jams.

We prepare diaries in our shop but for preparing pickle and jam, we have a workhouse. In the workhouse, some women prepare pickles and jam and then we sell them in the shop.

In a short time, we found more customers because of the good quality of our products. We use fresh milk for diaries and fresh and dried fruits for jam and good quality vegetables for preparing pickles. We do not mix powder milk and water in milk because it changes the taste of our products.”
