Female Genital Tract Infection

Females could be more infected with various types of diseases due to their genetical structure. one of these diseases is genital tract infection.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked about the symptoms, causes, and problems of this disease to some women who are suffering from genital tract infection.

A woman from Qarabagh district, Kabul city says: “a smelly discharge comes from my ovary and I suffer from irritation, itching, fever, and body pain and this is the second year that my monthly period is stopped.”

A woman from Guldara district, Kabul province says: “I was suffering genetical tract infection. I had painful urine expel and discharge was coming. It caused me to abort my baby.”

Dr. Muhsina Sediqi, the head of Rabia Balkhi Genetical Hospital in Kabul city says: “genetical tract abdominal pain that begins before the period and it follows with a bad smelling discharge and has irritation during urine expel. If this disease is not treated on time, it might cause ovary cyst and the infection might find a way into the bloodstream and the infected person might die.”

What do women think about the causes of genital tract infection?

A woman from Paghman province says: “if a woman does not wash and put her cloth pad during the period and does not change it on time, she might face genetical tract infection.”

Another woman from Guldara district says: after my surgical curettage, I did not take my medicines according to the prescription of the doctor, and I faced genetical tract infection.”

Another woman from Kabul city says that she does not know about the causes of genetical tract infection.”

Doctor Sediqa says: “The causes of female genital tract infections are the intervention of infections after cesarean delivery; ejection of the loop; after appendicitis surgery, and during the period due to not considering sanitation and hygienic.”

How could women prevent genetical tract infection?

A mother from Chaharasiab district, Kabul province says: “I always use kotix pads and cotton underwear after delivery or during my period and this is the 23rd year of my wedding and I have not faced this disease yet.”

A woman from Nangarhar province says: “I always consider hygiene and when I was pregnant, I was regularly consulting my doctor and during the period, I was using sanitary pads and I have not faced genetical tract infection yet.”

Doctor Sediqa says: “The ladies should pay special attention to their personal hygiene. They should always wash their hand with warm water and soap after going to the toilet they could use clean cloth pad instead of kotix pad during their period and take the medicine according to the prescription of the doctor after surgical operation.”
