Let’s go to Kandahar

First Lane:

Saleema and Faisal are playing in the alley. Peddler comes and they welcome him.

Peddler congrats Faisal for his new Kandahari style embroidered shirt, waistcoat, and a hat. Faisal thanks him.

Peddler asks the children that what kind of gift has they brought for him.

Saleema says that she has learned a melody about Kandahar. Peddler asks her to tell it to him and other children. Saleema tells melody and other children learn it. Peddler gives Kandahari pomegranate as a gift to them and he goes to the next alley.

Second Lane:

Masood and Marzia want to play in the alley but could not decide what to play. Meanwhile, peddler arrives and the children warmly welcome him.

Marzia sees something in the peddler's bag and asks about it from the peddler. The object in the bag says that it is sweet fruit and when its fresh, it has one name and when dries it has another name.

Marzia says that it might be raisin but the fruit does not accept. Masood says that it might be mulberry but that fruit doesn’t accept his answer either.

Marzia says that she found that fruit and it is dried apricot. The peddler accepts his answer, and he says that dried apricots are eaten more in winter and then he asks the children if they know how people eat dried apricots.

Masood says that some people eat them as they are. Marzia says that some others are soaking them in water overnight and then eat them the next day.

Peddler warns them not to eat more than 3-4 pieces of dried apricot because it might cause some illness and then he goes to the alley of story.

Story Lane:

Fazeela and Sameem are waiting for Lalo mama to come and tells them the next part of the story “Kind Rabbit”.

They hear the voice of flute of the peddler and go near and greet him. Fazeela asks the peddler to tell them a new part of the story.

Peddler asks them that what had happened in the previous part.

Sameem says that Long Ear rabbit was very cruel and strong and she was always oppressing others.

Fazeela says that the Long Ear grabbed carrots from Piebald rabbit and pushed White too.

Sameem says that the rabbit ran away, Long Ear chased them and wanted to take revenge.

Peddler says that when Long Ear was chasing the other rabbit, he fell down on the ground and hurt his leg. He went home with difficulties and laid down.

Kind Rabbit: Part Two:

Long Ear was very sick and even she could not get up and find something for eating. Other rabbits were hearing her crying but were not eager to help her and they playing happily. Long was hearing their voices. Meanwhile, someone knocked on the door of Long Ear’s house.
