The human being might face different kinds of diseases. One of them is low blood pressure. The primary signs of low blood pressure are weakness, dizziness, headache, and lethargy.

The writer/producer AEPO has talked to some patients from Kabul, Kunduz, Maidan-Wardak and Parwan provinces about this problem.

Gulshan says: when I eat garlic, or not take enough salt in my daily food, my blood pressure lowers.

A mother from Kunduz says:

I had not paid attention to my health and I was eating every kind of foods. Therefore, I faced low blood pressure problem.

Doctor Mohammad Agha an internist in one of the hospitals in Kabul city confirms that symptoms and says that these signs usually could be seen when a patient wants to stand up or sit down. If patients do not pay attention to the foods, it might cause some crucial health problems. If a pregnant woman has a low blood pressure and anemia, she might deliver a handicapped baby and sometimes the mother might die of low blood pressure.

Treatment:

the woman from Kunduz added:

When my blood pressure drops down, I drink a glass of a solution of sugar and water or eat a lemon with salt.

A woman from Parwan says: when my blood lowers, I avoid garlic and eat honey, jam, fresh fruits, sweets and salty foods.

The doctor says that foods are not playing essential rule in lowering all kinds of blood pressure because in some cases green tea, garlic, and very low salted foods lower the blood pressure more than usual but Eating rice two times daily is useful for low blood pressure patients.

Eating dairy products, vegetables, fresh fruits, beans, cereal, olive oil or corn oil are very useful to keep the blood pressure normal but for essential treatment, the patients must go to a hospital.
