Carpet is One of the goods which is produced in Afghanistan and has a good market inside and outside the country. The choice of color, design, and other features of the carpet varies from country to country, and people choose different colors and designs.

The writer/producer AEPO has talked to Jawid, a seller of Afghani carpets.

Jawid says about his work: I started carpet selling about 15 years back. Our more customers are from abroad. They order the color, size, and variety of the carpet and then we send the order to the carpet weavers. Our more carpet wavers are from Farah, Badghis, Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif, Kunduz, and Badakhshan provinces.

Our more customers like green, wood, cream, and dark blue colors. We use social media for our publicity.

School Uniform:

Anosha Mohammadi, a resident of Kabul city has established a company of school uniform. She says: about 7 years back, I got a loan from a bank and started work with 600 thousand Afghanis. we produce any kind of uniforms for schools, hospitals, private and governmental companies and sell them at a low rate.

Now we have 4 pieces of machinery (plants) in different parts of Kabul city. And now, at the beginning, we train the women, who are not allowed to work outside the house and then we hire them. they could work in their house and get their wages.

We pay a permanent salary for our instructors and a percentage of to the other workers.

We prepare raw materials for the uniform from the markets in Kabul city.
