Suraya says: I don’t have any land for cultivation in my home yard. I bought 4 kilograms of potato and cut them into four pieces. Then I cultivated them in a big sack. The sack should have holes for fresh air. After passing 120 days, I got about 10 kilograms potatoes.

fawzia is another resident of Dogh Abad. She has learned the new method of potato cultivation from a Home Garden Course held for women. She says that after cultivation potato in sacks, she has no need to buy potato from the market.

One of the new methods is the cultivation of potatoes in plastic dishes, sack, and buckets. At the beginning, one should mix an equal portion of the soil, manure, and sand and then fill the sacks with the above-mentioned mixture of soil, sand and manure and they should be irrigated normally.

In order to prevent insects, boil some tomatoes and keep it for 24 hours in boiled water and then spray on the plants of potato. The mixture of washing powder and ash is also useful for killing insect of the potato plant.
