Analyzing market position

Written by: Aqsa Sediqi

Before starting a business, one must evaluate the market, otherwise, he/she might face loss.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Zarghona Ibrahimi, a resident of Kabul city.

Zarghona shares her story, “I started my work about five years ago. I prepare pickle and jam and also I sew Gand-i-Afghani (a special lady dress) and I had a good market but last year I faced a big loss.

The reason for this loss was the quarantine during coronavirus. I had prepared more items but when the government announced quarantine, I was not able to sell my products and faced about 40 thousand Afghanis loss.

This year, I evaluate the market and I prepare the mentioned Item according to the order of my customers. Now I am convinced with my business.”

Taking Note:

Some businessmen when they borrow or pay many, or borrow some items they do not note down it and they just use their mind for this purpose.  Some of them face loss but some others note down their deals in a diary and they are successful.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Qahir, a resident of Kabul city.

Qahir talks about his business, “I have opened a dairy shop about four years back and I have not faced loss yet.

When someone borrows something from me or if I borrow from someone else, I take a note of it in my diary. This issue caused me to increase my customers and have more sales.”
