As the population of Afghanistan increases, the needs of Afghans also go high. Some people have noticed this point and started a new activity to promote their economy.

The writer/producer AEPO has talked to Maiwand Arian, one of the directors of a shoe-making factory in Kabul city.

Arian says: We started work about 3 years before. We wanted to compete only with foreign shoe making companies, who export shoes to Afghanistan.

The outer and inner sides of the shoes are made of pure leather but the soles of the shoes are made of rubber. We convince our customers to buy homemade productions because we use natural leather after processing but foreign shoes are made of artificial leather and our attention is quality, not quantity. About 60 workers are busy in work in this factory and our daily production is about 150 pairs of shoes. We train pupil for the better future of Afghanistan.
