Eid’s Fruits

Written by: Nasratullah Samim

Once upon a time, there was a girl, Zala and her brother, Ajmal, living in a green village far from the city.

Once on the first day of Eid, Zala went with her friends, Khatira and Gul Meena to neighboring houses. They congratulated Eid and the neighbors brought them varieties of dried and fresh fruits, cake and cookies.

Gul Meena and Khatira ate a little fruit but Zala ate plenty of fruits and other foods.

When she returned home, she felt the stomach ache. The pain became more and she could not suffer it.

Her mother sent Ajmal to aware her father from her illness. Her father came and took Zala to a clinic. The doctor said that Zala has eaten too much sweets and spicy food together and so that she became ill. The doctor advised her two days rest in the clinic.

Zala was very sad because she had a picnic with other girls on the second day of Eid. She promised not to eat different edibles on Eid days.
